Description

This is an introductory Scratch programming class for kids with no exposure to coding.

Course Details:

  • Changing sprites and backdrops
  • Moving your sprite around the screen
  • Creating simple action sequences
  • The (x,y) coordinate system
  • Angles and rotation
  • Complex movements
  • Pen commands

Scratch Coding Classes FAQ

What is Scratch programming?

Scratch is a visual, block based programming language designed for kids aged 8 and up. It allows kids to create interactive stories, games, animations, and more by snapping together coding blocks instead of typing complex code. It’s a fun and easy way to learn the basics of computer programming.

What age group is this course suitable for?

This course is designed for kids between the ages of 8 and 12, but older or younger children can also enjoy it depending on their learning level.

What do I need to get started with Scratch?

All you need is a computer or tablet with internet access. Scratch can be used online through your web browser (at scratch.mit.edu) or offline through the Scratch Desktop application, which is free to download.

Will my child be able to create their own projects?

Yes, absolutely! By the end of the course, your child will be able to create their own interactive games, stories, and animations. The course is designed to help them think creatively and apply their new skills to bring their ideas to life.
